In this role you will be responsible for oversight and execution of MTC operations at the MTC Systems Operations Center (MSOC).What You'll Be Doing:

Ensure day-to-day and anomaly operations are performed in accordance with the MSOC CONOPS and the O&I System CONOPS

Serve as the lead for overall O&I operations support to MTC

Responsible for the organization and management of the O&I operations support team and serve as the operations point of contact for MTC program leadership

Track all Problem Reports (PRs) generated at MTC sites, associated action items, problem resolutions, and system impacts through the life cycle of the PRs

Provide oversight of and coordination for the full space operations lifecycle, from pre-launch rehearsals and readiness, through launch and early orbit ops, full on-orbit operation, and disposal

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science/Engineering/Physics-related field of study and 10+ years of experience

A minimum of five years of experience in leading or directing space vehicle and/or space sensor operations

Execution in a leadership position on a joint Government and Multi-Contractor environment

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Ten years of experience supporting operations in a DoD/Intel operations center

Five years of experience supporting OPIR, Missile Warning, Missile Defense, or GEOINT programs

Ten years of experience with space craft anomaly resolution

Space launch support experience

Degree or coursework in Aerospace Engineering, Space Physics, or similar

In-depth understanding of DoD or Intel sensor tasking and collection management systems and CONOPS

Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level (ZA-III at NIST) in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Supporting and coordinating contract work, identifying and resolving issues through proactive work with the contractor and subject matter experts; and Working with teams towards the completion of large and complex equipment purchases that demonstrate a broad working knowledge of contract evaluation techniques and reporting. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
