Job DescriptionA large defense integrator is hiring for a Sowtware Engineer to sit in Boulder, CO or Colorado Springs, CO. The Software Engineer will support the Aerospace & Defense industry experience, joining a team in support of a new Hypersonic Missile Warning program. Work will include developing new Mission Management software solutions and integration to ground architecture. The SW Engineer will help with planning and execution of team and individual projects, developing code, testing code, tracking metrics, analyzing system performance, and engineering software architecture. The Software Engineer will have to interface between internal software development, customer stakeholders, and subcontractors to present technical approaches and findings. Development occurs across multiple programming languages is in Java and C in an agile team environment, using Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) across multiple operating systems. Preference given to candidates with experience in Ground Segment Software Development.Skills and Requirements
MUST BE US Citizen with an active Secret DoD Security Clearance (must be TS/SCI eligible)
B.S STEM Degree 4-10+ years of experience in Software Development
Proficiency in C and Java programming
Experience working on a Linux OS
Experience with microservices architecture - Experience with Springboot, container orchestration, etc
Experience with Python
Experience with Ground software development in a satellite launch program
Expertise working with Agile SW development tools (Atlassian Tool Suit)
Experience with OPIR (Overhead Persistent Infrared)
Experience with Mission Management null
