ISO Hardworking, reliable, honest Ranch Hand/Ranch Maintenance for small private horse barn.
Full time. $18/hour 6 days/week. Monday-Saturday 7am - noon and 3:00pm - 5:00pm
6 acres, horse barn, pastures, arena, round pen, paddocks, outbuildings, 3-4 horses, etc.
Live on site after a work trial period, for the right candidate.
MUST HAVE:
-Prior horse barn experience.
-Work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
-Lift up to 70 pounds.
-Experience with horses (NOT a riding position), spot colic, injuries, etc.
-Can drive tractor, and other farm equipment and hand tools.
-Can work alone, is a self started, highly motivated.
-Communicate routinely with owners
-Background check will be done
-No smoking. No drugs.
-Valid drivers license with clean driving record.
-Honest, reliable, punctual.
-Work references.
-Long term position
Duties include: Muck and feed 3 horses 2xday, bed stalls, water, blanket, turnout, grooming, etc. Assist ferrier, vet. Clear communication with owners. Maintain all aspects of the property and barn. Maintain and use farm equipment, maintain arena (water and drag), mowing, weeding, fencing, watering, pasture management, manure, hay, irrigating, landscaping, repairs, other odd jobs, etc.
