Panel Technician Intern Location: Centennial, COJob Id: 4146 # of Openings: 1 Panel Technician Intern (Centennial, CO) Pay: $17-$20 per hourExpiration Date of Job Posting: Continuous POSITION SUMMARY: The Panel Technician Intern works with a team of panel builders along with the management staff. Join an amazing team and work with some of the most common and advanced industrial computers in the business. Winn-Marion operates a UL-listed facility and will train on the best processes. The Panel Technician Intern will be responsible for helping to build panels that can have as many as thousands of control points. This position is for someone who loves electronics, likes working with their hands, and understands modern and complex solutions. The duties of the position include taking an electronics diagram and building parts, assemblies, and panels that will then be installed by our field personnel. The components we build are varied and custom, as well as standard panels for optimum performance.CORE COMPETENCIES:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution required.

Experience with panel building, RTUs, PLCs, or VFDs is a plus.

Working toward or a graduate of an industrial automation related program is a plus.

Experience with wiring electricity and electronics is required.

Experience with blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and point to point drawings is preferred.

Must be able to perform repetitive work while maintaining high standards of quality.

Good hand-eye coordination is required.

Must have great color vision and the ability to identify wires by color.

Hand dexterity is important, as small parts may need to be assembled.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Use of both standard and specialized tools for industrial automation assembly.

Learn the functionality of all common components and their proper use.

Safely operate a variety of tools and machinery in the assembly of products.

Capable of utilizing highly automated equipment safely and efficiently.

Maintain professional behavior and proper communication with internal and external contacts, including company employees, managers, and outside vendors.

Must understand the details of assembly drawings.

Comply with all safety work procedures.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

Successfully complete requested training classes and maintain all necessary safety certificates.

Keep work area clean, organized, and hazard free.

Effectively utilize the Microsoft office suite.

Able to perform general office administrative activities of copying, filing, faxing, and using the telephone.

Work in a team environment.

Effectively manage time and follow directions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK CONDITIONS:

Working in a shop environment and must follow all safety, housekeeping, and organizational policies.

Able to sit and work at computer keyboard or workstation for extended period.

Able to stand for long periods and have significant physical stamina.

Able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 60 pounds.

Able to climb stairs, work at heights.

Maintain regular and on-time attendance. The position is 40 hours per week but may exceed 40 hours per week.
