Description We are on the lookout for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in DENVER, Colorado, 80205-2767, United States. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be managing multiple facets of accounting processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and aiding in the budgeting process. Responsibilities: Manage the overall accounting process, including the maintenance of the general ledger Perform detailed account reconciliations and prepare necessary journal entries Conduct critical variance analysis and problem-solving Prepare comprehensive financial reports on a monthly basis Assist in the monitoring and analysis of departmental expenses against budgets Ensure all financial accounts adhere to established accounting standards Process and record payroll entries and accruals on a bi-weekly basis Support compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements Assist in the completion of the annual audit, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of accounts and schedules Participate actively in the annual budgeting process Implement process improvements and ensure adherence to internal control procedures Engage professionally with organization volunteers and manage volunteer financial activities Cross-train on accounts payable, cash disbursements, and cash receipts processes. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required. Demonstrated experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation is essential. Proficiency in conducting Bank Reconciliations is necessary. Must be well-versed in managing and maintaining the General Ledger. Proficiency in creating and managing Journal Entries is required. Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Demonstrated experience with Month End Close processes is necessary. Proficiency in using NetSuite is a significant advantage. Familiarity with Oracle Financial Software is required. Must have experience working with SAP financial software systems.
