Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Furniture and Art Restoration Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in restoring fine furniture and artwork, with a focus on historical accuracy, materials, and techniques. Key Responsibilities:

Assess and evaluate antique and vintage furniture and art pieces for restoration.

Perform detailed repairs, refinishing, and restoration work using traditional and modern techniques.

Match original finishes, materials, and structural elements to maintain historical accuracy.

Communicate with clients to understand their specific restoration needs and provide updates.

Collaborate with other artisans and craftsmen on complex restoration projects.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in furniture and/or art restoration (minimum of 2 years preferred).

Strong knowledge of wood, metal restoration techniques.

Familiarity with a variety of materials such as wood, metal, paint, varnish, and textiles.

Ability to accurately match historical finishes and materials.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with clients.
