ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Gummy Line Production Manager has overall responsibility for the
functioning of the Staff at Hybrid Confections. The Gummy Line Supervisor has
significant managerial and supervisory responsibilities in addition to being
able to step in and help in the gummy line as needed.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain quality control standards of product
Ensure that Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP s) are followed
within Hybrid Confections
Promote and ensure the highest cleaning, organizing and sanitizing
standards
Review Gummy line schedules and prepare as necessary for efficient,
problem free operations
Prepare schedules and organizational procedures as needed for
staffing, production and sanitization
Responsible for hiring and training Hybrid Confection staff as needed
for efficient, seamless operations
Responsible for managing the labor hours on the gummy line to include
second and third shift staffing, managing breaks and lunches, approval of
time-off requests, tracking attendance, assisting with time clock issues
and approval of bi-weekly timesheets
Instruct staff in company procedures and policies
Encourage good attendance, accountability, professionalism and good
attitudes for staff
Responsible for department development and training of all Hybrid
Confection personnel as needed for sufficient skill depths
Responsible for ensuring staff are practicing proper safety
Conduct regular performance reviews in accordance with company policy
Promote good working relationships with all Hybrid Confection staff
Communicate in a positive manner with other team members and ownership
Participate in production meetings and conduct regular Hybrid
Confection staff meetings
Coordinate with the Purchasing Agent to maintain appropriate raw
ingredient inventory levels
Communicate with HR and ownership as needed on personnel issues
Maintain and meet budgetary requirements
Prepare candy in an excellent manner to the highest standard
Shared responsibility and participation in GMPs
Shared responsibility of maintaining HACCP compliance
Plan, organize and make recommendations for future improvement in
quality, efficiency and sanitation
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Skill and Ability: good communication, interpersonal and relational
skills, analytical and forecasting ability to read schedules and maintain
inventory levels; thorough knowledge of all aspects of gummy production;
good mechanical aptitude; good problem solving skills; good organizational
skills; effective leadership and coaching skills; fluency in written and spoken
Tools, Equipment or Machinery Used: computer, Starch-less
Mogul, boiler, depositor, cooling rooms, de-molder, de-oiler,
sander, scales, pallet jack, fork lift,
Minimum Physical Requirements: stand, lift up to 100 lbs (with
assistance); lift up to 50 lbs (without assistance); push
approximately 500 lbs; bend, stoop, climb, kneel, see, hear;
handle or feel objects and tools, grasp, turn, raise arms above shoulder height
Personal Qualities: high level of quantity and accuracy of work
product; cooperation and reliability; alertness, initiative, positive
attitude and judgment
Risk of Assault or Injury: Moderate; must follow safety procedures
and employee conflict resolution training
