What We Are Looking For: We are currently seeking full-time entry-level Biomedical Engineer in the Virtual Surgical Planning department. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing planning files for virtual surgical planning meetings. This will include viewing medical imaging modalities, simulating surgical procedures and preparing cephalometric analysis. Candidates will also be responsible for the coordination and organization of products in preparation for the final inspection process. This will include buffing, cleaning and modifying of surgical splints, initial inspection of 3D printed patient specific medical devices and collection and organization of data. What You Will Do: Interface directly with healthcare professionals, staff, and sales representatives to perform surgical planning via phone, emails and web meetings. Use CAD software to manipulate 3D files and combine multiple datasets for surgical planning. Manage multiple priorities and communicate closely with a multidisciplinary team. Maintain detailed records of each case in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System. View patient CT and MRI studies in DICOM format and identify anatomies of interest. Perform inspection of 3D printed surgical guides for quality and clinical effectiveness. Use hand tools to buff, clean, or modify the surgical guides as needed. What You Will Bring: BS degree in Biomedical, Mechanical or other relevant technical field Experience: 0-2 years of relevant work experience Experience collaborating or interacting with medical professionals Ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers What You Will Want to Know: Salary Range: $61,000 - $70,000 annually (salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data) In addition to a salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based upon company performance. 3D Systems offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage, company-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance, and company-paid basic life insurance. Qualifications: · Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, preferably in biomedical, mechanical, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. · 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the medical device industry. · Knowledge of medical device regulations and standards (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 14971). · As this role includes development of parts covered under ITAR, candidate must be a US Person. · Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies, including FMEA, CAPA, and statistical analysis. · Quality certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) desirable. · Experience with product and process validation, design control, and risk management. · Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. · Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in documentation. · Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. · Applied experience with and understanding of additive manufacturing a plus.
