Join us as we digitally connect the world and shape the future.The RoleThis is a great career opportunity to join Lumen’s Public Sector business unit.  The person in this role will sell Lumen’s full suite of offerings to and through Federal Systems Integrators – Defense Industrial Base.  As an Account Director, you will set, and drive account strategies aimed at powering your client’s mission.The Main ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving sales targets while leveraging the resources of extended account team members.    Primary focus on targeting and developing new business opportunities.     Provides comprehensive account plans to win new business and retain existing revenue.     Provides accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities.     Responsible for managing client satisfaction and successful delivery of Lumen solutions to Federal Systems Integrators – Defense Industrial Base.What We Look For in a Candidate   At least 6 years of field sales experience selling network, security and/or professional services solutions.      Experience building territory plans, prospecting, and bringing in new revenue.    Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including senior executives.    Excellent critical thinking and analysis skills.    Strong customer focus.    Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.    Growth mindset.     Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.    Experience with Salesforce.com.CompensationThe starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location.   • Summary This position is located in the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation\'s (PBGC), Office of the Director (OD). More than one selection may be made from this vacancy announcement. This is a temporary not to exceed 1 year position that may be extended in increments of up to one year, but not exceed three years; may become permanent without further competition. Responsibilities The candidate selected for this position will: Provide advice in developing and implementing critical studies, programs, projects, and other comparable initiatives impacting PBGC. Oversee and accomplish all human capital initiatives and other initiatives in collaboration with the Human Resources Department (HRD) and other departments throughout PBGC associated with the Office of the Director (OD). Arrange appropriate high-level meetings and briefings between key program officials and Congressional offices including setting up congressional testimony and other critical meetings associated with termination of pension plans throughout the United States. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications All qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the announcement closing date. To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications and/or education for the grade at which you are requesting consideration. Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the private sector serving in a confidential capacity to an organizational executive performing functions including human capital, budget, and long-range policy impacting projects and initiatives. Examples include: planning, budgeting, administering, and directing programs, projects and critical initiatives. Time-In-Grade Requirement: In order to be eligible for this position, all current Federal employees must provide proof of meeting the time-in-grade requirement (i.e., at least 52 weeks of experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service). This information must be in both your resume and on an SF-50. Those who do not provide proof of having met the time-in-grade requirement will be deemed ineligible for this position.
