Finance ManagerThis position is contingent upon Customer approval, funding, and position availability.POSITION SUMMARYIn anticipation of a Business Development Task Order, Amentum is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Finance Manager to support the Diplomacy &International Development Business Line. In addition to all the necessary qualifications of a contracts professional, the selected candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic and high-energy environment.This position will be considered fully remote but must be able to accommodate the Eastern US time zone.The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive:

Manages company financial matters, develops long-term strategies, and provides financial reports. Forecasts cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment.

Assures that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.

Oversees the preparation of the company's budget; and reports to management on variances from the established budget and the reasons for those variances.

Reviews financial reports, monitors accounts, and prepares activity reports and financial forecasts. Investigates ways to improve profitability; and analyzes markets for business opportunities, such as expansion, mergers or acquisitions.

Oversees the flow of cash and financial instruments. Arranges for equity and debt financing. Plans and directs the activities of workers in branches or departments.

Prepares reports as required by law, regulations or company policies.

Ensures compliance with applicable laws and procedures.

Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.

Oversees the design of the Finance Department's organizational structure sufficient for achieving the department's goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:Required:

5+ years of work related experience in US Government procurement or contracting to include sourcing, requisition management, purchasing, contract management, transportation, receipt, and vendor data cataloging

3+ years or more of experience supervising Finance staff personnel.

Ability and willingness to travel to austere environments as and when needed (approximately 10%).

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or other related discipline.

Desired: CPA or MBA

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and over the telephone with individuals and with a wide variety of organizations and audiences and to research, analyze and interpret complex information and produce clear verbal and written reports

Successful management of multiple sites in geographically dispersed locations

Ability to collect, analyze and summarize data and to prepare clear and concise reports

Experience in effectively dealing with international and headquarters staff, and sensitivity to other cultures

Exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and administrative details in a fast paced and constantly changing environment

Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel

Must have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change

Language Skills: Proficiency in written and oral English language.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) and their implementation on a Government contracts

Experience of financial responsibility for a budget, including experience of GAAP and guidelines, end of year accounts and external liaison with auditors

Certification by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional is preferred, but not required. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is preferred, but not required. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
