Summary This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Strategy, Policy, and Plans, Office of Trade and Economic Security. The primary purpose of this position is to manage a team responsible for DHS participation in national security reviews of foreign investment in the United States in support of CFIUS and Team Telecom. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position. Responsibilities As a Supervisory Policy Analyst, GS-0301-15, your typical work assignments may include: Leading a team of analysts responsible for case management and risk analysis for DHS-wide participation in foreign investment risk management activities related to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and the Committee for the Assessment of Foreign Participation in the United States Telecommunications Services Sector (Team Telecom). Areas of responsibility include case management, risk analysis, identification of non-notified transactions of interest, and developing effective risk mitigation strategies in coordination with DHS compliance and enforcement experts. Developing DHS-wide policies, programs, and planning to promote and ensure quality across all homeland security missions in connection with foreign investment risk management activities. Serving as an expert-level authority on foreign investment risk management for DHS, advising DHS senior officials, building and leveraging relationships with relevant experts and organizations, and providing authoritative guidance on agency-wide programs and long-range planning relating to foreign investment risk management. Supervises a group of employees and contractors, providing administrative and technical supervision necessary to accomplish the mission.   • Summary This position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), ICE Health Service Corps (IHSC), Office of the Deputy Assistant Director (DAD) of Health Systems Support (HSS), and IHSC Health Operations Unit. This is a non-supervisory position. This position is only open to USPHS officers who are currently IHSC employees. USPHS Call to Active Duty (CAD) candidates are not eligible for this position. Responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists the Chief of Health Operations with analytical functions and complex projects of the Health Operations Unit. Assists Chief of Health Operations with the maintenance of the IHSC staffing matrix. Briefs and advises Unit Chief on agenda issues in preparation for senior leadership meetings and represents the office at in absence of the Chief of HOU, as needed. The Program Analyst\'s primary responsibility is to analyze, evaluate, advise and/or coordinate health care delivery systems and operations for the Health Operations Unit. IHSC has a multi-sector, multidisciplinary workforce of more than 1600 employees, including U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) commissioned officers, federal civil servants, and contract staff. The IHSC provides on-site direct patient care to ICE detainees at 20 detention facilities throughout the country and manages the provision of off-site medical care for detainees housed in approximately 240 additional Intergovernmental Service Agreement (IGSA) facilities. The ICE detainee population is approximately 34,000 detainees on a daily basis, with an average length of stay of approximately 30 days, and over 400,000 detainees annually.
