Summary This position is located in the Fleet Management and Operations Division, Office of General Services Management, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Operations, Bureau of Administration (A/OPR/GSM/FMO), in the U.S. Department of State (DOS). Responsibilities Provides technical advice and guidance to the Office Director, Vehicle Operations Center, other Department Fleet Managers and other fleet operations stakeholders with respect to all fleet management issues. Serves as DOS representative on fleet related interagency task forces, working groups and advisory panels. Develops and recommends fleet program policies and directives governing use of official vehicles in accordance with the Domestic Fleet Operations program. Carries out such duties and responsibilities typical of a second level supervisor in DOS such as overseeing the work of subordinate supervisors and staff and dealing with high level officials of other organizations. Directs staff in researching and evaluating proposed or newly issued legislation, legislations, mandates and Executive Orders to determine their impact on Department motor vehicle management policies and operations.
