Is accountable for supporting MBO’s and yearly goals of the Advanced Clinical and Innovation Team. Participate in cross functional activities with the product development teams and product management teams while ensuring all advanced training initiatives adhere to the product Instructions for Use. The Surgical Advanced Clinical and Innovation Specialist will always demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and integrity.Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with the Manager, Advanced Clinical and Innovation Training to establish and execute new product, product enhancement and new indication launch strategies specific to, but not limited to, surgical products

Provide clinical support to cross functional teams throughout product milestones

Provide clinical support and case coverage for research products and first in man specific to, but not limited to, surgical products

Assist to identify, coordinate and execute ExCEL launch trainings and curriculum development specific to, but not limited to, surgical products

Support voice of customers (VOC) and innovation suites, and major tradeshows

Execute ExCEL clinical launch plan US and globally

Conduct on-boarding activities and training of new team members as directed

Conduct continuing education for Abiomed Field Team

Execute quarterly MBOs to align with cross functional team and commercial business needs

Create and review of clinical and clinical marketing content specific to, but not limited to, surgical products

Coordinate and communicate IFU updates with the Global Content Manager

Develop and execute advanced training programs specific to, but not limited to, surgical products

Align with global partners to standardize advanced training initiatives specific to, but not limited to, surgical products

Demonstrate Abiomed’s Principles, Abiomed’s Operating Procedures, and Johnson & Johnson’s Credo

QualificationsRequired:

Minimum of 4 years cardiovascular clinical experience

Clinical experience in the surgical operating theater

Display enhanced leadership and team building attributes

Viewed as a Clinical and Product SME in current role

Desire to impact patient outcomes

Exhibit effective strategic planning skills

Must have a keen sense of prioritization, organization, flexibility, and time management to ensure maximum effectiveness for the benefit of the team.

Able to maintain confidentiality and safeguard materials and information required

Possess executive communication skills

Demonstrates high level of presentation skills, professionalism, and integrity

Proficiency with Microsoft office programs required

Ability for 50-75% travel

Preferred:

2 years as an Advanced Surgical Consultant or have minimum of 4 years of Abiomed Field Team experience or previous surgical theater experience with high volume Impella 5.5 and RPSA experience highly preferred

Complete Abiomed product portfolio experience

ExCEL launch experience preferred

Proficiency with productivity tools and portal technology a plus (Veeva Vault, Salesforce, Concur, Tableau, Cornerstone, OnDemand, Workday, SharePoint)

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $94,000 - $151,400

The Company maintains a highly competitive sales incentive compensation program. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for participation in this program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.

This position is eligible for a car allowance through the Company’s Fleet program.
