Data Engineer, Manufacturing (Salary Range: $91,000/yr-$96,000/yr): Responsible for administration of the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Collaborate with contract manufacturers on capturing relevant data and ensure alignment between MES systems by providing information for their systems on data that needs to be captured. Upload and maintain Bills of Materials (BoM’s) to be processed through MES, solve issues with ongoing builds, and maintain the program integrity. Manage the Manufacturing Change Process within Luminar and the roll-out to the contract manufacturers. Support the Data Analyst in gathering production data. Collaborate with team members to collect, structure, and analyze large data sets to produce dashboards for internal customers. Oversee data models, report packages, data gathering, cleaning, and transforming techniques. Generate graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data on the production floor to provide up-to-date production info. Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of business decisions. Receive and interpret Engineering Change Requests and Manufacturing Change Requests (MCR) through Arena to obtain approval for a Manufacturing Change Order (MCO). Contribute to the overall architecture of Luminar’s LiDAR system. Apply knowledge in system engineering, enterprise architecture, system machine learning, and system and software architecture development to connect the safety plan with the project plan. Analyze, quality assure, and troubleshoot large data sets and work with data warehousing and ETL (extract, transform, load) techniques.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field. 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or related occupation.
SKILLS: Must have:
1. Two (2) years of experience managing data systems (Aegis FactoryLogix or Arena) in a manufacturing environment, including performing serialization automation and managing MES (Manufacturing Execution System) controls and servers.
2. Experience using data warehousing and ETL (extract, transform, load) techniques for gathering and cleaning data related to production and manufacturing.
3. Experience using reporting and data visualization software: Tableau and PowerBI.
4. Experience coding using SQL programming language and analyzing SQL queries.
5. Experience using data models and reporting packages to generate dashboards and presentations for reporting production KPIs to management.
6. Experience troubleshooting large datasets and tracking issues with Jira.
