Market Group Manager, OptimizationUnited States, Georgia, AtlantaRevenue Management03-Aug-2022Ref #: 16223How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)The Optimization team in CDI (Commercial Development and Innovation) is seeking a Grade 8 Manager to lead a sub-team of optimization professionals spanning inventory and pricing development. The team is responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining proprietary Pricing and Inventory optimization models and engines that result in improved customer offers and increased revenue for Delta Air Lines. This grade 8 manager will lead, motivate and mentor two direct reports. She/He will be responsible for facilitating and prioritizing optimization development across key stakeholder groups such as CDI, Revenue Management, Operations Research and IT.This role is based at our Headquarters in Atlanta, GA. Builds strong working relationships with leaders and experts across Revenue Management, Pricing, Global Pricing Distribution, Operations Research, Distribution/Digital, IT
Fosters a culture focused on deep understanding of airline pricing and revenue management business problems and innovative, modern, and flexible solutions.
Maintains a pulse on industry efforts and disruptive technologies, and champions solutions to further Delta's position as industry leader
Monitors and regularly communicates performance and progress towards goals
Understands the interrelationships between Schedules, Pricing, and Revenue Management, and the combined impact on the Delta Customer experience
Balances multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)The ideal candidate has background in revenue management system development and is knowledgeable about Delta’s current optimization methods.
Demonstrated experience managing and executing multiple priorities in a timely fashion is required.
Must be results oriented and possess a strong sense of ownership and business maturity.
Must have the ability to work well with diverse groups in a time sensitive and team environment.
Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Decision Science or Operations Research along with Revenue Management experience.
Data science or optimization experience is a plus.
