Senior SFCC Developer (Salesforce Commerce Cloud)

Synergis’ client, has engaged us in a search for a Senior SFCC Developer, specializing in Sales Force Commerce Cloud, is responsible for working with a team to develop implementations, site enhancements, and regular maintenance/support of the company website. The Sr. Software Developer will participate in eCommerce implementations utilizing Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C, provide hands on contributions to the software design, development, and integration activities, assist with problems and technical roadblocks, and provide guidance during QA and UAT.
Senior SFCC Developer | Background and Scope
• Perform hands-on development of custom solutions on the Commerce Cloud B2C (formerly Demandware) platform.
• Work with internal and external project teams to help define, build, and support eCommerce websites that work seamlessly across different devices and browsers.
• Participate in software design, development, and implementation activities using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware).
• Demonstrate proficient development and documentation skills in all project endeavors.
• Configure and customize B2C eCommerce solutions as required for meeting business needs according to requirements set forth by the business manager.
• Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing technology solutions including integrations with other enterprise software solutions.
• Provide suggestions and recommendations to keep our internal coding standards up to date; help identify areas to improve efficiency across all disciplines.
• Stay current with the Commerce Cloud platform, releases, and new features & functionality.
• Enhance and maintain eCommerce portal built in Spring Framework Java and Hibernate.
Senior SFCC Developer | Requirements
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience including 3 years in building eCommerce applications using the Salesforce Commerce Cloud API.
• Certified in Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C is preferred, but not required
• Expert in developing web applications from the back end to the front end on Salesforce B2C Commerce.
• Proficient in managing the administration of Salesforce B2C Commerce.
• Experience in integrating 3rd party OMS using web services (SOAP and REST APIs).
• Experience in integrating Payment Gateway and Payment processor for credit cards and gift cards.
• Proven experience with other Salesforce products (Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Community Cloud, etc.) is highly desirable.
• Experience working with SFCC Open Commerce API (OCAPI).
• Expert level knowledge of cross-browser compatible HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and other JavaScript libraries/frameworks.
• Proficient in using and managing version control through Git – including planning & creating branches and performing merges.
• Experienced with task runners like Grunt or Gulp.
• Experienced with Spring Framework, Javan and Hibernate.
• Applied knowledge of responsive, mobile first design.
• Applied knowledge of front end and B2C commerce backend performance best practices.
• Applied knowledge of semantic HTML and accessibility best practices.
• Ability to lead effective scrum meetings.
• Ability to perform Release & Sprint planning.
• Good organizational skills – scheduling, prioritizing, planning, and tracking.
• Self-starter, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
