This position will oversee the Hui Hānai ‘Ai grant and cohort program for native farmers, ranchers, and food producers. This role is part-time (20/hrs/wk), but for those looking for full-time, there is the ability to merge this role with another to create a full-time position. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Executing program/project plan in compliance with grant agreements and regulations, including budget management and outcomes tracking/reporting
- Planning and leading various meetings, events, webinars, and outreach activities to engage the intended audience with our programs and one another
- Providing technical assistance, referrals, and business support to native farmers, ranchers, and food producers
- Recruiting, selecting, onboarding, and supporting program participants
- Helping to coordinate participant grant purchases and approvals, and managing individual budgets
We’re seeking someone who:
- Is a confident yet down-to-earth leader that enjoys diverse duties and is passionate about our local food system
- Has 2+ years experience in detail-oriented work in project/program coordination or administrative work in any industry
- Understands and is driven by intentionally equitable decision making and thoughtful community-developed programming
- Is connected to and passionate about supporting the Kaua’i community, especially native farmers, ranchers, and food producers
- Is skilled with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms), YouTube, Zoom and Canva
- Has strong time management, multi-tasking and communication abilities
Pay & Benefits:
- $30-35/hr base pay with opportunity for annual bonus based on performance
