Description We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team located in Bloomington, Illinois. This role is vital to our operations, with a focus on account reconciliation, invoice processing, and managing both accounts receivable and payable. Responsibilities: Handle the processing of invoices in an accurate and timely manner Take charge of account reconciliation activities to ensure all financial records are accurate Oversee accounts receivable to ensure timely payments are received and recorded Manage accounts payable to ensure all financial obligations are met on time Ensure all customer credit records are maintained accurately and efficiently Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary Resolve customer inquiries related to their financial accounts Process customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Assist in maintaining accurate customer credit records Contribute to the overall financial health of the company by identifying potential issues and suggesting solutions. Requirements Must possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation. Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is required. Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) is a must. Demonstrable experience in Invoice Processing is necessary. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong time management skills to meet deadlines. Prior experience in a similar role is desirable but not mandatory. Professional certification in accounting (CPA, CMA, etc.) is a plus.
