Description The Robert Half Healthcare Practice is partnering with an Indianapolis based healthcare practice to find a new Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist. This candidate will need to have a strong attention to detail and be able to work in a timely and efficient manner.Schedule for the position:Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm (can be flexible)Responsibilities for the position include the following:
Process and submit insurance claims accurately and timely.
Follow up on denied claims and appeals.
Post payments and reconcile accounts.
Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve billing issues.
Establish and manage patient payment plans.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient accounts.
Generate and analyze reports on accounts receivable performance.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline billing and collections.
Work collaboratively with other members of the revenue cycle team to ensure efficient and effective billing and collections.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years of experience in an accounts receivable role, preferably in a medical setting.
Strong knowledge of medical billing and insurance procedures.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with medical practice management software.
Experience with CPT and ICD coding.
