Location: Anthem Office Location Description:

The Manager Reporting & Data Analysis is responsible for managing and coordinating the data analysis and development activities for Commercial Data Mining within Advanced Analytics unit. Supports department level applications and databases used for Recovery Identification and Analytics. Responsibilities:Manages the prioritization and development of reports for tracking projects and savings of potential recoveries from Anthem data warehouses and reports for business analysis purposes including ad hoc data analysis and special projects.

Assists in the development and implementation of Anthem legacy system queries by creating necessary code based on structure query language tools for supplied business requirements

Obtains resources (people, funding, material, support) to support business unit information needs

· Ensures accuracy and timeliness of output and deliverables for assigned functional areas. Ensures internal controls are appropriate and develops policies and procedures and ensures compliance with Anthem and business units supported.

Ability to communicate with customers about technical issues in non-technical terms

Understands the business processes that the system supports.

Manages, participates and coordinates activities for process improvement (technical and non-technical)

Provides counsel to senior management.

Works with other areas for solutions to complex problems and participates in critical interactions with both internal and external customers.

Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports. Requirements:

Requires a BS/BA degree in related field;

Minimum of 7+ years’ experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Proficiency in SQL, big data technologies and working with large data sets

Experience with SAS required

Experience with claim systems

2+ years of management experience; or any combination of education and leadership experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is required.

Expert level PC, spreadsheet, and database skills, as well as experience in Anthem standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages is also required.

Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels within the organization.

This job is focused on spending time thinking about programming and how it would be used to design solutions as compared to the Bus Info Developer Consultant job.

Ability to manipulate large sets of data.

Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem solving skills

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills required

Knowledge of Tableau, Business Objects and/or other BI Tools

Experience analyzing of Anthem EDWard medical claim and membership data strongly preferred.
