Description We are in search of a Plant Controller to join our team in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. In this role, you will be managing financial functions at our plant, overseeing the accounting department activities, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. This role will also involve playing a key part in budget preparations, internal control maintenance, and process improvements.Responsibilities: Manage daily operations in the plant accounting department. Oversee financial functions at the plant, such as accounts payable, inventory adjustments, and other related accruals. Carry out accurate and timely month-end closing activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliation. Accurately report the plant's financial results each month in line with corporate requirements. Train and provide feedback to departmental staff, contributing to annual performance reviews. Work in collaboration with the Controller, operations, and IT to enhance the efficiency and automation of financial reporting and closing procedures. Continually seek opportunities for improvement in both financial and production processes. Actively assist the Controller in preparing the plant's annual budget. Support the Controller with local annual external audit requirements. Contribute to inventory management, including cycle counting, physical inventory/cycle count processes, and inventory valuation. Maintain and monitor the plant's internal controls. Requirements Minimum of seven years of experience in a similar role or related field. Proficiency in Month End Close processes and procedures. Solid understanding and experience in Financial Reporting. Experience in Inventory Analysis. Proficiency in Standard Cost Accounting. Experience in KPI Reporting. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required; a Master's degree or CPA is preferable. Strong analytical and strategic planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated leadership skills and team management experience. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Familiarity with manufacturing industry practices and regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
