Description We are looking for a highly detailed and dedicated Senior Property Accountant in Louisville, KY. Oversee and manage all accounting and financial aspects of a portfolio of properties.
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with departmental procedures and GAAP standards.
Review and approve property management billings, budgets, and forecasts.
Ensure that all property and tenant transactions are recorded accurately and timely in the property management software system.
Facilitate payment of all property-level expenses, including taxes, insurance, and other incidental expenses.
Reconcile inter-company transactions and bank statements in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist with annual audits and corporate tax filings.
Maintain lease abstracts and updates of commercial tenants.
Provide necessary financial data to support property management in rental and leasing agreements.
Stay updated with any changes in regulatory and legal requirements that impact property accounting.
.Requirements Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on real estate or property management.
Minimum of 1-2 years in a senior accountant role.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or be a CPA candidate.
Strong knowledge of the property management industry and its financial aspects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and property accounting software.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while also being an effective team member.
