In accordance with R.S. 42:1701, if you are nominated for this position, you will be required to undergo a criminal background check prior to commencement of employment with the Louisiana Military Department. POSITION DESCRIPTION:Receives items and or services for the Louisiana Military Department at Jackson Barracks and processes into the LaGov system for payment. Files copies of 101’s, receiving slips, receipts, invoice, bids and maintains LaGov status 480. Provides LMD-Fiscal, the purchasing agent and public assistance (if applicable) with copies. Receives and secures items for future pick-up, storage or transfer. Loads and unloads pallets using forklift and pallet jacks. Works with post engineers and logistics personnel to secure items and transport items when necessary. Picks up packages from J6 mail room and transports items to the warehouse for storage, receiving into LaGov and issuing to POC’s. Issues pallets of bottled water, sandbags and cots during emergency, flood, storms, or hurricanes. Receives state purchased property and records property on State Property Acquisition Form using Form 101, receiving documents or receipt. Tags property with bar coded state property tags as outlined in state property regulations book. Issues property to person that has requested items on LMD Form 101. Tagged state property is recorded by position on Asset Works system by location code for inventory purposes in the future. State Acquisition Form, LMD Form 101, State Property Form 1 and receipts are filed for future reference. Receives and prepares property to be transferred or turned in using State Property Form 1. Posts property transfer utilizing the asset works system and files copies. Repairs state property that has been approved for repairs. Issues Asset Certification Reports to property locations for inventory of their state property above $1000.00. Sends completed reports to property manager for Louisiana Military Department. Records property on durable property hand receipt on items below $1000.00. Records fleet state vehicles and monthly vehicle log sheets on Asset Works system for property records and operational cost of vehicles. Files acquisition sheets and vehicle log sheets for future reference. Completes condition reports on vehicles to be turned into LPPA, once approved turns vehicles into LPAA, Baton Rouge, LA. Picks up new vehicles from LPAA when authorized. Perform other duties as assigned.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:Required - Minimum 5 years’ experience in receipt storage or distribution of supplies or equipment. Familiar with the LaGov system AGPS (Advance Government Purchasing System). Excellent team building skills. Effective verbal and listening communications skills. Must be honest, respectful, flexible and demonstrate sound work ethics. Must be able to operate material handling equipment.GENERAL: Must have a valid Driver’s License, Social Security Card and Birth Certificate. Must qualify to obtain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) Card. Periodic travel may be required. Must be available to report to duty during emergency or disaster situations. Must have the ability to work and communicate effectively with agency personnel, peers, superiors, subordinates and the public.OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must meet physical requirements to perform functions of the position. Must attend/complete all LMD annual training and other training required for the position.
