Collections Specialist

Description We are in search of a Collections Specialist, based in Baltimore, Maryland, to join our team. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity within the finance and accounting industry. As a Collections Specialist, you will be instrumental in handling client collections and responding to customer service billing inquiries and complaints.Responsibilities: Manage the process of client collections calls Respond to and resolve customer service billing questions and complaints Maintain and update customer records to ensure accuracy Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on account status Collaborate with the finance and accounting team to ensure smooth operations Utilize skills in Accounts Receivable (AR), Answering Inbound Calls, and Billing Functions Implement effective Collection Processes to ensure timely collections Provide exceptional Customer Service to maintain client relationships Handle and resolve billing issues to ensure customer satisfaction Exercise a strong understanding of the Collections process in all activities. Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience as a Collections Specialist or in a similar role Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) Proven ability to effectively manage Collection Processes Experience in Customer Service is essential Proficiency in Billing Functions Experience in Collections is mandatory Ability to handle and respond to Inbound Calls efficiently Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High level of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
