Description We are seeking an Accounting Clerk who will be situated in our Boston, Massachusetts office. This role is centered around assisting the accounting team with numerous tasks, including reviewing sales agreements, assisting with cash receipt entries, and handling accounting related customer inquiries. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Analyze and review sales agreements and notes to generate and deliver invoices Provide support to the accounting team by entering cash receipt data Engage in collection activities such as sending emails, making phone calls, and conducting follow-ups on accounts that are past due Manage and track reports and data using Microsoft Excel Handle customer and sales inquiries related to accounting Assist in the monthly reconciliation tasks assigned by the accounting team Perform ad-hoc functions and projects as assigned by the team Utilize Salesforce.com for various accounting tasks Assist with the coding of invoices Monitor daily cash receipts and perform month end close tasks Requirements Proficiency in coding invoices is necessary Demonstrable expertise in utilizing Microsoft Excel Experience in using Salesforce.com is a must Ability to handle daily cash receipts effectively Experience in month-end close procedures is required A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent problem-solving abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Demonstrable integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
