The Housekeeping Supervisor leads our team of room attendants to ensure excellent
Housekeeping standards and the smooth operation of our Housekeeping services. The ideal
candidate would be detail oriented, observant and aware. Self-initiative and resourcefulness are
important as the position requires a fair level of independence. Good communications skills are
essential, as well as the ability to be diplomatic and adaptable to work with a diverse and
committed staff. As this position also includes guest contact, a well-groomed appearance and
polite manner are vital. The position requires scheduling flexibility including working weekends.
Responsibilities include:
Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence.
Oversee staff on a daily basis
Inspect cleaned rooms on a daily basis for compliancy with standards
Inspecting common areas for cleanliness including stairways, hallways and restrooms
Motivate team members and resolve any issues that may occur
Coordinate operations with the Front Office and Maintenance departments.
Monitor and replenish cleaning products
Participate in cleaning projects as required
Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies
Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job including lifting and using stairs
