Current student population is 3000+. The main roles of the position include customer triage in a fast-paced and high-volume student services office, provide general administrative support and programmatic support, support the override request and permission process, backend processing of student requests, course enrollment assistance, and other administrative processes. Serve as a point of direct contact for student questions, walk-in traffic, phone calls and emails to appropriate offices, departments, college and university resources.
Ensure compliance with all College of Engineering policies as they relate to undergraduate students, as well as federal privacy regulations
Review and understand policies for late course edits, drops, and adds
Provide support for the Computer Science & Engineering Undergraduate Advising Office. Responsibilities focus on front-end support and customer service in a busy, public-facing setting.
Management of walk-in, phone, email, and scheduled appointment traffic for the office; including detailed assistance and/or referrals to other campus resources and departments Assist in coordinating advisor schedules through use of online scheduler
Maintain supply of program and office handouts as well as office supplies Schedule prospective student visits and appointments with peer advising staff Review and process late course edits, drops, and adds
Assist in maintaining student files from declaration through graduation Assist in coordinating transfer credit review process
Record administrative processes and decisions in online student files Provide office coverage during advising events
Assist in planning, scheduling, and materials preparation for annual EECS Honors & Awards selection process and reception event
Backup support of class permissions, enrollment requests and other administrative processes. Develop working knowledge of divisions´ programs
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Strong computer skills and knowledge of the following software applications: Excel, Google suite, or other database program; understanding of web-based information.
Proven strong communication; efficient with exceptional organization skills; high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all areas; demonstrated customer service skills; evidence of administrative independence and judgment, experience and comfort with public speaking.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevantexperience.
Proven ability to work under pressure in a high-activity, dynamic environment; ability to work in both a team environment and independently; and demonstrated ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgment in matters of a sensitive nature.

Working knowledge of the University records, curriculum and enrollmentsystems
