Barnes and Barnes Apartment Rental, the area's premiere rental company is seeking applications for a part-time Office Assistant. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We are looking for someone that can commit to working Monday through Friday from 10:00am – 3:00pm daily. There is a possibility of more hours being available during a week depending on scheduling.

We are a family owned company with a great office environment and staff of trained professionals. The successful applicant will have excellent organization skills, the ability to multi-task, intermediate computer skills, excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, and respond to the needs of others in a timely and professional manner.

Job Responsibilities at a glance:

Maintains a professional, yet friendly, atmosphere in the leasing offices and within the community.

Answers incoming phone calls and handles each call accordingly.

Respond to and send out emails as necessary.

Greet prospective residents, qualifies, determines needs and preferences, professionally presents community and specific apartments while communicating features and benefits.

Update online advertising to reflect current market pricing on a daily basis.

Contributes ideas to the Manager for marketing community and for improving resident satisfaction.

Correctly completes all lease applications, assists with application verification and notifies prospective residents of results.

Organizes and files appropriate reports, leases and paperwork.

Assists Manager with resident communications as needed.

Performs any additional duties, assigned by Manager, or individually determined as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma/GED required

Driver’s license required

Ability to adapt to change in directions and priorities

Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word , Excel and Outlook is a must

Professional phone etiquette

Salary: $12.00 /hour

Experience:

Leasing: No experience required. We will train the right person but prior experience working in a property management office is a plus.

Education:

High school or equivalent (Required)
