Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Warren, Michigan. The role involves handling accounts payable duties in a fast-paced environment. The specialist will be tasked with maintaining records, processing invoices, and communicating with vendors among other responsibilities.Responsibilities Accurately match vendor invoices with purchase orders and receipts using the PLEX ERP system Ensure timely and correct issuance of payments to vendors Enter vendor invoices into the Plex ERP system Monitor incoming email, invoices, correspondence, and maintain verbal communication with vendors Prepare all accounts payable disbursements according to company procedures Maintain and organize accounts payable records Utilize your skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Plex, and Plex Manufacturing ERP to ensure efficient operations Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in vendor invoices and payments Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures. Experience with Plex Manufacturing ERP software. Ability to analyze and solve complex accounting issues related to accounts payable. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with vendors and internal departments. Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under strict deadlines. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive company financial information. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of general accounting principles and regulatory standards. Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
