It involves assisting in developing and coordinating CDL training for examining personnel and assisting in the oversight of CDL driver education to ensure the goals and objectives of the unit are realized. This position will also assist the Exam Coordinator and Program Director in the development of strategic goals, plans and outcomes related to commercial Driver Licensing.Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience in administering driver license driving tests, including experience related to all processes and procedures of the driver exam program
Experience in locating and interpreting state and federal laws
Experience or ability in designing and presenting training to meet the needs of all examination staff
Typing-Keyboarding skills; data entry skills sufficient to enter data onto paper forms and computer entry screens; and experience with basic office equipment and internet and ability to pay close attention to detail
Must qualify for an unrestricted driver's license
Ability to communicate with others and understand information; read, write and respond to customers in fluent English
Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities

Preferred Qualifications
Five (5) years of driving experience with a good driving record
Ability to explain complex procedures clearly
Experience in conducting training sessions and delivering presentations
Advanced and effective team building skills to empower examination staff
Physical RequirementsEmployee must be able to communicate effectively with others and understand information clearly and have a minimum visual acuity of 20/40, corrected or uncorrected, and a visual field greater than or equal to 105 degrees. Average to above average reflexes are required. Must be able to maintain a stationary position for long periods of time. Must be able to position self and move many times per day into and out of all sizes of motor vehicles.
