In this role, you will be responsible for administering, participating in, and supporting our enterprise risk management program while providing subject matter expertise in energy utility. We are looking for candidates who possess strong quantitative and analytical skills, coupled with the ability to effectively analyze complex data and translate findings into comprehensive report writing . Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include, and are not limited to· Participates in the development, maintenance, evolution, implementation, and promotion, of GRE’s enterprise risk management program, to foster achievement of enterprise strategic and business goals, and in support of the director enterprise risk management. · Participates and assists in reviews of program governance, direction, strategies, risk policies and controls; recommends, develops and participates in implementation of program revisions and maintenance. Identifies, evaluates, develops and validates tools, procedures, and methods used to assess, monitor, track, and manage enterprise risks. · Actively promotes a strong and effective enterprise risk culture, provides risk thought leadership, communicates risk management strategies, policies, controls, roles and responsibilities; provides risk training to the board, leadership, and staff. · Identifies, assesses, quantifies, tracks and monitors enterprise risks directly and through oversight of others; performs annual enterprise risk assessments, bringing an independent and objective perspective. Leads and supports evaluation of enterprise risk treatments. Assists and advises in the implementation of risk treatments and monitors outcomes. · Leads selection, development, and maintenance of enterprise key risk indicators. Gathers, analyzes, and tracks key enterprise risk measures, and prepares board enterprise risk reports monthly. · Leads and coordinates independent risk-based team assessments of critical strategic plans, projects, and transactions (“principal projects”) that carry significant enterprise implications. Analyzes findings, develops board-level reports, presenting analysis and findings to the board and senior leadership. · Leads GRE’s energy risk management function, providing subject matter expertise, oversight, and support. Conducts broad analysis of GRE’s interaction in the energy markets, advising on and ensuring application of sound market risk management principles, practices, and risk reduction techniques consistent with enterprise risk appetite, policies, and controls. Actively participates in GRE’s market risk management committee, monitoring performance of GRE’s portfolio, marketing plans and strategies, market conditions, and regulatory changes, providing thought leadership, recommendations, advice, and support to further risk-based portfolio optimization strategies. · Lead and participate in the administration of GRE’s risk information system (RiskView) and enterprise emergency notification system (Everbridge) · Administers and supports GRE’s insurance program, utilizing operational knowledge and analytical skills to identify appropriate risk transfer and alternative financing activities. · Lead and manage GRE’s internal audit function. · Supervise, coach and provide work direction to employees to maximize productivity and teamwork. Qualifications: · Knowledge and experience typically acquired through a bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, business/finance/accounting, or other quantitative field, or equivalent related work experience (typically a minimum of six years of relevant, progressively advanced work experience is expected). A minimum of five years’ experience in an energy, risk management, or a position requiring critical analysis. A strong working knowledge of energy markets, bulk electric systems, and commodity trading is preferred. · Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to analyze and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges; familiarity with quantitative analytics and modeling tools, such as stochastic and Monte Carlo simulation concepts and techniques. · Knowledge of enterprise risk management principles, philosophies, and methodologies. · Knowledge of risk management techniques including financial and energy hedging, insurance, and contractual risk transfer, and applicability to the energy industry. · Knowledge of computer systems and operations, including the utilization of relational databases, and skills in preparing complex spreadsheets. · Knowledge of the US electric utility industry and related policies, regulations & market fundamentals; regional transmission, reliability and operating organizations such as the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), market tariffs and operation, and bulk electric systems (power generation and storage, transmission, distribution, and operations). · Knowledge of the power, energy, gas, and related commodity markets, the capital markets, and physical, financial, and derivatives trading. · Ability to organize thoughts and clearly explain work to others orally and in writing. · Skill in developing and delivering effective presentations and proposals. Your responsibilities will include: KOL Engagement -Set strategy to partner with key opinion leaders in structural heart and interventional cardiology on scientific and educational objectives including: Identification and support of physician faculty for educational programs (e.g., symposia) Ensuring that the content and format of US medical symposium/congress presentations are accurate and strategically focused Advance scientific and educational objectives with appreciation of commercial landscape. Clinical Research and ISRs - Evaluate external clinical research proposals and collaborate with internal teams to advise on impact and strategic alignment of the proposal. Manage investigator-sponsored research process including funding allocation and execution. Evaluate and recommend clinical sites who will contribute to excellent execution of clinical trials.
