Fork & Flair Catering is looking for someone that is motivated to take on our head chef position! We are a (kind-of) small catering company that is growing quickly! We are very team oriented, and we are looking for someone that would like to stick around a while if it's right for them! Grow with our company!
Responsibilities
· Manage a team in the kitchen to ensure proper scheduling, workload and quality of work.
· Place food orders as needed keeping an eye on cost and current inventory.
· Take on some of the food prep tasks each week.
· ‘Fire’ events to ensure proper execution before they leave our kitchen.
o Some events are during the week.
o Most events are on the weekend.
· Assist in menu creation when needed.
· Assist with cost quoting when needed.
· Keep kitchen and cooler/freezer spaces organized.
· Keep food cost at a proper rate.
Qualifications:
· Able to lift at least 50lbs.
· Must be able to manage your own schedule and others.
· Strong management and leadership skills.
· Strong organizational skills .
· Prior management experience.
· Prior kitchen experience performing in all departments (Prep, Sauces, Etc).
