This team is responsible for Alight's Infrastructure as Code modules, coding standards, and pipeline tooling.This role requires an individual to manage the needs of individual team members (people), features and capabilities owned by the team (product), and provide hands-on expertise (technology). The ideal candidate will have a background in infrastructure automation in AWS using Terraform, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving innovation and efficiency.People Management:Provide leadership, vision, and direction to the Infrastructure Automation team to ensure alignment with company goals.Inspire and manage a team of engineers, including resource allocations, training, mentoring, performance, pay, and individual career guidance.Foster an environment of diverse backgrounds and perspectives, promoting excellence in others.Operate within all the firm's business and people policies.Product Leadership:Oversee the creation and maintenance of Terraform modules used across Alight.Guide the development and maintenance of integration pipelines, IaC testing frameworks, infrastructure drift impact, and module code distribution.Maintain the product backlog, ensuring stories are properly defined ("engineering ready") and prioritized. Work with Scrum Master and Product Manager to align work with product goals and vision.Ensure platform governance, efficient utilization, and compliance with security and operational standards.Conduct regular surveys of stakeholder satisfaction and implement action plans to improve satisfaction.Technical Expertise:Provide hands-on assistance to the engineers on your team related their work.Review work from team to ensure adherence to development and security standards.Provide training support related to the use of Alight's IaC tooling.Occasionally work delivery tasks from the team's backlog.Stay updated with the latest developments in infrastructure automation and incorporate relevant advancements into Alight's products and processes.What You'll Need:10+ years of experience in infrastructure automation, software design/development, cloud technology. Hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS, and other cloud services.3+ years of experience managing direct reports.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Proficient with Agile development, Scrum methodology, and DevOps principles.Other duties assigned or required to meet business needsFlexible Working So that you can be your best at work and home, we consider flexible working arrangements wherever possible.   • The City of Billings is seeking a Project Manager / Asset Coordinator to perform professional project management work involved in the construction of parks and recreation capital improvement projects including park and trail planning and construction, irrigation systems, grading and drainage, parking and structures; to act as a project manager on assigned projects. This position performs a full range of duties as assigned, working independently and exercising judgment and initiative. Performs asset coordination including inventory, locate, assess condition for improvement or replacement. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise, and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit. This position will routinely interact with consultants, contractors, and departmental staff in all phases of project management.
