Our team members are driven by a common goal: to create exceptional vehicles that inspire and delight our customers.SUMMARYMaintains responsibility for the marketing and after-sale support of Subaru Added Security (SAS) (mechanical, maintenance, and certified pre-owned [CPO]) plans and compliance with all regulatory organizations (Attorneys General [ATG], Insurance Commissioners, etc.) across the country. This includes maintaining and updating all point-of-sale materials including brochures, sales aids, and agreements for proper wording, legal and regulatory compliance, and design work. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Partners and communicates with Director of Subaru Added Security (SAS) and Certified Pre-Owned (CPO); Regional, Zone, and Distributor staff; Customer Advocacy Department (CAD); Service; Information Technology (IT); and Marketing while managing projects and in order to accomplish goals of advancing SAS sales and compliance.
Works with Risk Management to review all current state regulations and ensure compliance with forms and processes.
Reviews terms and conditions with the Claims Department to deliver customers with premium ownership experience while encountering a mechanical breakdown.
Supports sales growth year over year (YOY) through the creation, design, and updating of print and promotional materials, working with print and design vendors to accomplish these goals, as well as through providing training and direction to the Field, CAD, and Service Department. Effectively leverages print and promotional budget of more than $1 million annually.
Provides a selection of promotional materials to be used in training and as a reward for contests. Negotiates pricing and ensures logo compliance.
Maintains inventory of training materials, forms, and point of sale materials and monitors timely fulfillment to retailers and Subaru internal partners.
Conducts training and information exchange on all products to help ensure compliance and reduce exposure to litigation.
Develops, monitors, and reviews all electronic marketing opportunities with various vendors/partners and Subaru of America (SOA) Marketing Department.
Ensures that all marketing opportunities are utilized, accurate, and effective, including digital, Subaru.com (for SAS and CPO), Dealer.com (for CPO), Care Connect (for email campaigns), marketing resource center, Love Strikes Twice CPO sales event, etc.
Supports retailers with CPO website information and inventory, e.g., CARFAX, AutoTrader, CarGurus, Cars.com, et al, and range of retailer website providers.
Negotiates agreements with vendors for CPO vehicle listings websites to support program visibility and sales.
Manages the marketing program for SAS products, as well as other products such as Equity Shield vehicle protection program (covering tires, dents, windshield, key fob) when appropriate.
Travels with SAS and Safe-Guard representatives in SOA Field in making joint retailer contacts.
Maintains responsibility for program compliance with both SOA policy and regulations.
Ensures continued compliance with SOA policy and procedure manual (P&P) of the CPO Program through vendor-performed marketing and sales audits, e.g., Carcannon. Provides information in a timely manner to our Field team when issues are found, including feedback to retailers.
Evaluates all requested sales exceptions and claims exceptions to ensure regulatory compliance and to assist with earning/maintaining a retailer’s commitment to SAS.
Serves as a leader in developing new programs and marketing materials focused on generating higher sales, revenue, profit, customer satisfaction, and owner retention.
Works with Director in overseeing vendor representatives in the Field - the SAS Product Managers and Safe-Guard Income Development Specialists.
Supports retailer contacts to understand how vendor representatives can work most effectively.
Assists Director with developing and strengthening the Field and retailers’ partnership with vendor representatives in order to grow the programs’ profitability and sales.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Researches and initiates product improvements by understanding the Subaru customer, Subaru brand strategies, and aftermarket extended service agreements.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Strong understanding of retailer operations and SOA departmental responsibilities to enhance owner experiences with SAS and CPO products.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail to effectively complete legal- and compliance-related tasks.
Effective project management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
Excellent time management and organization skills.
Ability to interface with all levels of the organization and business partners.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 4-Year College Degree (BA, BS) and 6-8 years' experienceWORK ENVIRONMENT Required Travel: 25% travel requiredCOMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $89400 - $127600 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
