Accounting Controller in car dealership G Motors Of Old Bridge

As a Controller at G Motors USA LLC, your primary responsibilities will encompass the financial management and operational oversight specific to our used car dealership. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Cash Flow Management:

Monitor and control cash flow in and out of the business for daily operations.

Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.

Manage daily bank reconciliations and maintain sufficient liquidity for operational needs.

Vehicle Sales Accounting:

Verify deposits and funding receipts for all sold units across our branch locations.

Ensure accurate posting of sales transactions in the accounting system.

Reconcile sales records with deposits to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Payroll Management:

Oversee payroll processing for all locations using the ADP system.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues promptly.

Accounting Operations:

Manage daily accounting operations using QuickBooks.

Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.

Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

Floor Plan Management:

Monitor and manage floor plan financing.

Ensure timely payoffs and compliance with lender requirements.

Maintain accurate records of floor plan transactions and balances.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.

Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.

Internal Controls:

Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions.

Compliance and Regulatory Filings:

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory reports in a timely manner.

Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with sales, operations, and management teams to support business objectives.

Provide financial training and support to staff as needed.

Participate in strategic planning and business development initiatives.

Miscellaneous Duties:

Handle special projects and assignments as directed by management.

Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial regulations.
