Our client is a long-standing real estate development firm looking to add a Senior Property Accountant. This company is looking for an experienced Senior Property Accountant who can work independently in an efficient and effective manner with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
SALARY/HOURLY RATE:
$70k - $80k Annually.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Property Accountant must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills. The ideal Senior Property Accountant should be hardworking and comfortable with meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience with CAM and working with tenants and properties is a must for this Senior Property Accountant role.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT:
Prepare financial analyses and reports.
Maintain and reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
Perform input, maintenance, and review of financial data.
Responsible for updating/reviewing the forecast for possibly a weekly, monthly, and year-end basis.
Reviewing tenant leases and responding to tenant inquiries.
Coordinating budgets with the property management department.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT:
3 - 5 years of experience with month-end close, multi-software use, and accounts payable, and receivable in GL.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Inter-departmental communication and relationship skills.
Yardi and CAM experience is a huge plus.
Strong Excel skills.
ERP systems.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
