Order Fulfillment Specialist - Warehouse Responsibilities
As an Order Fulfillment Specialist in our warehouse, you will play a crucial role in accurately picking, packing, and shipping customer orders. Your keen attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure we maintain our high standards of customer satisfaction. Your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Picking Items. Efficiently locate and select items from inventory based on order specifications.
2. Packing Orders. Carefully pack items into suitable packaging materials to ensure safe transit. Ensure packages are correctly labeled and prepared for shipping.
3. Shipping Coordination. Generate shipping documents and labels. Coordinate with designated carriers to ensure timely dispatch of packages.
4. Inventory Management Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is available for order fulfillment. Report any inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods to management.
5. Quality Control. Conduct thorough inspections of orders before shipping to confirm that all items are included, intact, and meet quality standards.
6. Handling Returns and Exchanges. Process customer returns and exchanges by inspecting returned items and restocking them when appropriate. Ensure refunds or replacements are issued promptly.
7. Utilizing Warehouse Management Systems. Use warehouse management software and other tools to track orders, manage inventory levels, and update shipping information in real-time.
Qualifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in warehouse management are advantageous.
- Experience in order fulfillment, warehouse operations, or a similar role.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
- Capability to lift and move packages of varying sizes and weights.
