Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob DescriptionProduct Development / R&D Support feasibility analysis for FDA requirements/certification and execute implementation plan as appropriate. Support approvals needed for blood bank refrigerators and other life science appliances. Manage and support production and product conversion, including the production of Medical and Life Science products. Prepare bills of materials, drawings, and process support for new designs and product improvement ECNs. Locally responsible for the development and implementation of testing labs / calibration activities in line with strategic plan. Assist Sales with customer questions as part of the technical resource team. Participate in product development and creation of new products or customer solutions.Product Development, Project Management, and QA Participate, lead, and execute specific assigned Product Development projects. Support developing Master Project Plan and keep track of key milestones of FSI Product Development activities. Support the development of fabricated parts design and assembly instructions for manufacturing. Assist with agency inspections on plant visits (FDA, UL, ETL, CSA, NSF). Lead Product Care activities for Accucold and Summit, supporting FSI field problems technical resolution. Monitor Quality KPI results trends, tracking and evaluating the results, defining action plans when appropriate for securing predictability of results and promptly reporting deviations and corresponding corrective actions. Interface with Product Development, Engineering, Purchasing, and Logistics organizations to provide expert quality guidance. Liaison and interface with suppliers in problem-solving and product development activities. Support the development of a culture of quality, prevention, definition of work standards, quality criteria, and key performance indicators implementation.Hard Skills
