Description We are looking for a Senior Data Security Manager to join our team in Morristown, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure data security and protection in the insurance industry.Responsibilities: Develop and implement data governance and protection frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure the security of data assets. Serve as a subject matter expert on data governance and protection, representing the organization in internal and external forums. Lead the deployment and implementation of data security tools to discover, classify, and protect data assets. Strengthen Data Loss Prevention (DLP) initiatives such as email security, web proxy, and removable storage. Verify Data Encryption evidence collected and lead the team to address identified gaps. Assist in defining and coordinating data retention, disposal, masking, and/or anonymization in applications, files, structured and unstructured systems. Manage and coordinate data security and protection activities at a corporate level. Provide guidance and support to business units on data security and protection best practices, standards, and policies. Collaborate with multiple business units to identify data security and protection requirements and priorities. Assist with the development of data flow diagrams and definition of interdependencies between systems and business units. Define and implement ongoing controls relating to data governance, security, and protection. Monitor and assess data governance compliance and effectiveness through regular audits and assessments. Develop and deliver data governance and protection training programs for employees to promote awareness and understanding of data governance principles. Evaluate, implement, and monitor Data Security, Privacy, and AI regulations and frameworks. Requirements Proven expertise in Access Control and Authentication protocols Extensive experience with Cisco Technologies and Firewall Technologies Proficiency with Database management and Data Governance Familiarity with EO/IR systems and their integration with data security measures Working knowledge of Active Directory and Configuration Management Strong understanding of Auditing principles related to data security Proficiency in Computer Hardware relevant to data security Experience with Data Protection and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) methodologies Understanding of Data Encryption techniques and their applications Familiarity with Data Management principles and their application in a data security context Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
