We are committed to delivering safe, reliable service that gets customers to their destinations on time–and we're looking to hire talented folks with a commitment to excellence to make it all possible Summary: Manages staff responsible for several areas including recording vehicle registrations and replacement plates and tags in Document Management System, regular reporting and review of license abstract screenings from state motor vehicle systems, monitoring of employee licensing credentials and related infractions, management of the SAMSARA system and associated program management activities, and data gathering, analysis and reports in support of Bus Field Operations Roles and Responsibilities

Oversees staff responsible for recording registrations and replacement plates in Document Management System. Staff provides copies of vehicle registrations and plate inspection tags to Bus Operations field locations.

Performs monthly audit inspections in all field locations ensuring operators are in compliance with FMCSA.

Investigates all NJT bus violations and summonses which require communication between NJT Bus and counties/municipalities to ensure operators receive summons and when necessary attend court hearings and/or handle appeals.

Monitors all rail employee license issues along with DGM of Rail Operations.

Screens licenses for all potential candidates for Bus Operations to ensure proper CDL requirements are met.

Manages Samsara bus camera system and all associated program management activities. Liaison between Samsara and Management in gathering information related to incidents in the field. Manages a $2 million contract with the vendor.

Maintains UCR Registration to keep NJT Bus current with its validity of our USDOT assigned number.

Manages staff in oversight of data collection and input on special projects related to Bus Operations.

Represents Bus Operations as liaison with MVC (Motor Vehicle Commission) to help interpret and incorporate changes to policies and MVC statutes.

Ensures that real time information is provided to Bus Operations field locations on employee license problems/issues related to violations, suspensions, revocations, certifications, administrative requirements and endorsement status.

Responsible for providing vehicle registrations, insurance cards and replacement plates to the field. Analyzes and records data into VMIS to establish vehicle into Bus inventory.

Analyzes and generates data by extracting information from various internal systems and Bus Operations field personnel. Responsible for formatting data into standard weekly and monthly reports for distribution to Bus Operations staff.

Issues checks in excess of $135,000 for payment of registrations for Bus Operations fleet vehicles.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field

Three (3) years of experience with NJ TRANSIT Employee Performance program/system, VMIS, Samsara, and Teledriver. Experience with Motor vehicle driver abstract management NJ CAIR system desired.

Experience in LENS – NY system desired.

Three (3) years minimum of supervisory experience needed.

Knowledge and Skills:

Must have knowledge of Commercial Driver License requirements and regulations as well as

Demonstrated knowledge multi-state motor vehicle license regulations/procedures.

Statistical database management experience desired.
