It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital s mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized age-specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital. The understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient s age-specific needs and determine age-specific treatment modalities.
