Hudson Kitchen is seeking a part-time Night Porter responsible for deep cleaning our kitchen equipment while maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment following all regulations and company standards.
Job Function:
Commercial kitchen equipment deep cleaning, including:
Removing and cleaning stove grates and oven racks
Cleaning the inside and outside of the stoves, ovens, flat top, grill, and deep fryers
Weekly cleaning of hood filters and surfaces
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to communicate in English
Must be able to perform the physical needs of the job including being able to lift up to 50 lbs, able to stand, kneel, squat, bend, twist, pull, reach, climb repetitively or for long periods of time
Must be able to use cleaning equipment and products in a safe and efficient manner
Must be able to adhere to the cleaning training and guidance giving by management
Ability to work in the evening or overnight
Must wear maintenance / janitorial uniform and proper footwear
Must cover long hair/beards when in the kitchen area per Health Dept requirements
Must be punctual and reliable
Preferred skills:
Previous experience cleaning commercial cooking equipment
Restaurant, mess hall, or cafeteria cleaning experience
Ability to operate small power tools and industrial cleaning equipment
