We have a client in Chester, NJ looking for a Short Order/Concession Cook and Cashier. This is a full time seasonal position starting ASAP through December.
Cooking & Food Preparation:
- Prepare and cook a variety of short-order menu items such as burgers, hot dogs, fries, and snacks.
- Ensure food is cooked to order, maintaining speed and quality standards.
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
General Duties:
- Restock concession supplies and maintain inventory levels.
- Maintain cleanliness of the concession area, including counters, equipment, and dining spaces.
- Follow all company policies, health regulations, and safety procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
- Keep the cooking area clean and organized.
Customer Service & Cashiering:
- Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately.
- Operate a cash register, process payments (cash, credit, or mobile transactions), and provide correct change.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner.
- Address customer inquiries or complaints professionally.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in food service, short-order cooking, or cash handling preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
