I am a 49-year-old man with ALS. I live with my wife and three children. I need someone in the night to get me ready for bed.
You should have experience caring for patients in a wheelchair, certified home, healthcare aide, certified, nursing assistant, or a nurse. You must have experience using a Hoyer lift.
Specific duties will be:
On occasion, lighting a cigarette for me and helping me ash.
Taking me upstairs in an elevator
Undressing me
Emptying and rinsing urinal bottles as needed
Helping me urinate into a urinal bottle
Helping me brush my teeth
Brushing my hair
Using a Hoyer lift to get me into bed
You would arrive at 10 PM most nights and the routine typically takes 30 minutes. Occasionally, not more than once per week, my wife and I have date nights and bedtime will be later, between 11 PM and 12 AM. On those nights you would also need to transfer me from my outside wheelchair to my inside wheelchair using a Hoyer lift.

Ideally, I am looking for someone who can do this seven nights a week, but if necessary, I could combine two people to fill the week. Pay would be $35 a night or $50 on date nights.
