FIELD MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN
For more than 75 years, Foremost Machine Builders, Inc. has provided services to the plastics, recycling, and material handling industries. Foremost is an innovative manufacturer of plastics industry equipment and is seeking an experienced individual to be part of our engineering team in our expanding business.
Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a background in Customer Service, Troubleshooting, Equipment installation, Fabrication, with the knowledge and ability to effectively function within a small business environment. The individual will have responsibilities in the areas of Customer Service, Field Service, Start-ups, Quality Assurance, In-house materials and equipment testing. They will also work closely with our Sales, Manufacturing, and Engineering Departments.
Requirements:
5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated experience functioning as a team member.
Must be able to work within Foremost and Customer’s Safety guidelines.
Candidate will have strong Customer Service background.
Must be able to understand mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams.
Candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background.
Must have hands-on experience in PLC downloading, programming, and troubleshooting.
Must have experience troubleshooting digital I/O.
Must understand ladder logic.
Must be able and willing to perform pre and final equipment inspections.
Must be able and willing to maintain pertaining documentation/records.
Plastics industry equipment, manufacturing, and R & D experience a plus.
Must be able and willing to travel within the USA up to 50% of time.
Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
