Description A well-known company is seeking a Payroll Specialist to fill a challenging position. A Payroll Specialist position has opened up at a dynamic company in the Manufacturing industry, which Robert Half has partnered with. This position will require a variety of tasks to support the Payroll department such as data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. In order to successfully perform as part of this dynamic, fast-growing team, a candidate will need to communicate effectively with both internal team members and outside customers. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the Princeton Junction, New Jersey area and is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment role.Key responsibilities
Process weekly payroll for approximately 200 employees
Sets up and reconciles voluntary payroll deductions, prepares reports, identifies and researches exceptions.
Correspond with employees via email and phone to garner approvals on timesheets
Compiles and analyzes payroll data, makes recommendations and determinations and prepares related reports
Supply the organization with instructions/training regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
Requirements
Strong communication skills
Eagerness to master new systems
2+ years of previous payroll experience
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Strong organization skills
