We are currently seeking a skilled Corporate Tax Accountant to join our team in the Princeton, NJ area. This is a consulting opportunity with the potential for conversion to a permanent position for the right candidate. This role will have a hybrid onsite schedule in Princeton.Responsibilities:
Corporate Tax Preparation:
Prepare and review direct and indirect corporate tax returns for accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Analyze financial data and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting.
Vertex Expertise:
Utilize Vertex software to streamline and optimize the corporate tax compliance process.
Stay updated on Vertex enhancements and provide recommendations for improved efficiency.
Tax Planning and Analysis:
Assist in developing and implementing tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liability.
Conduct thorough research on tax issues, interpret tax regulations, and provide proactive solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification is highly preferred.
Proven experience in corporate tax accounting, including direct and indirect tax preparation.
In-depth knowledge of Vertex software is mandatory.
Strong understanding of US tax laws and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and clients.
