Description This Accounts Receivable (A/R) position is an opportunity to grow with a thriving IT Software company. This permanent opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk is in the Somerset, New Jersey area. This position is for candidates who can enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L.What you get to do every day
Process payments and compiling segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Ensure accuracy of documents and codes
Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
Carry out general accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures
Respond to requests for information from shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders
Enter and balance financial data in a number of ledgers while reconciling bank accounts
Work with clients to solve payment issues; set up payment plans as needed Requirements - Efficient in ERP systems
Strong attention to detail
Relevant experience in accounts receivable
Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
Enter Vendor Invoices experience desired
Microsoft Excel experience
Expertise in Process Vendor Invoices
Strong familiarity with account reconciliation
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
