Boll & Branch is looking for our 2025 Summer Interns! As the Sustainability Intern, you will help the team advance Boll & Branch's commitment to ethical and sustainable practices throughout the supply chain. You will support key initiatives, such as maintaining certifications, improving supply chain traceability, and analyzing sustainability metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with environmental and social responsibility goals.You will report to the Sr. Director of Production Operations and work alongside the Production Operations Associate to drive impactful sustainability projects, engage with vendors on compliance matters, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of Boll & Branch's sustainability processes.Responsibilities:
Analyze sustainability metrics (Higg FEM/FSLM), gather traceability data for materials, and support initiatives to improve supply chain environmental performance.
Assist in tracking and managing certifications (GOTS, OCS, Fair Trade USA), maintaining Transaction Certificates (TCs) and volume reconciliations.
Calculate and track emissions, and identify opportunities to reduce emissions in the supply chain and operations.
Conduct research on sustainable materials, assist in updating Preferred Material Strategy to enhance Boll & Branch's environmental impact.
Learn about the overall mission of the company and its products and understand the brand, customer, and department goals
Collaborate with team members on various projects to gain real-world experience and help to research, propose ideas and find solutions
Requirements:
Interested in pursuing a career in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
Understanding of key sustainability concepts, including environmental impact, waste reduction, energy efficiency, supply chain sustainability, and carbon footprint reduction.
Must be a rising Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program.
Demonstrates an eagerness to learn and continuously improve skills and knowledge within their field of study.
Maintains a positive, solution-focused attitude, especially when faced with unexpected challenges and setbacks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Familiarity with Google Suite.
Available to work 32-40 hours per week.

Currently we are operating under a hybrid model whereby most teams work in an office a minimum of two days per week (Tuesdays/Thursdays) and may be provided flexibility to work from home on other days. The primary location for this role is Summit, NJ. We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person.
