MRN Office Manager (Part Time)Job ID2023-2132Category: : Administrative```{=html}```Location : Location: : US-NM-AlbuquerqueType: : Part-TimeDivision: : The Mind Research Network (MRN)OverviewReporting to the Senior Manager of MRN Operations and under limited direction, the MRN Office Manager will manage a variety of administrative tasks and functions to ensure efficient operations of MRN's non-research activities.Will coordinate and schedule meetings, symposia and other events; maintain financial records including overseeing petty cash; work with/assist other MRN and LBRI internal departments on a variety of administrative tasks; oversee the purchase and maintenance of general office supplies; provide back-up to front desk operations; and perform all other related duties and tasks as required or assigned.The Manager will supervise the MRN reception/front desk employees. Will identify staffing needs and available expertise, provide leadership and mentoring to all department staff, direct the recruiting and selection process for all departmental positions, and work with the Human Resources Department as needed on performance evaluations, training and development of staff.This is a part-time position, 20-30 hours per week, with the number of hours determined based on the identified candidate. The typical schedule will fall during MRNs normal business hours, Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, and is flexible. This position is eligible for benefits.QualificationsRequires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of directly-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained. Requires a minimum of 2 years of previous personnel supervision.The Manager position requires demonstrated prior experience working in an office environment acting as an Office Manager, Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant or in a similar role.Requires previous experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and the ability to prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines and goals. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous success in developing professional and effective relationships with both administrative and scientific managers and colleagues, and the ability to effectively communicate operational needs to Institute leadership.Must have superior professional-level written and verbal communication skills; a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy and discretion; excellent judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills; and strong customer-service skills. Demonstrated ability in managing a wide variety of complex tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting multiple deadlines is required. The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with solid judgment and discretion is critical, as well as the ability to perform duties independently.Requires professional-level computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite, and the ability to learn department-specific computer systems as needed.Preferred/Additional QualificationsBachelors degree in an applicable field highly desirable.SalarySalary is commensurate with experience.EEO, including disability/vetsApply for this position
